Jiu-Jitsu Seminar with Robin Geisler
On Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at 7:30pm in lieu of the regular BJJ class, Team GriffonRawl will be hosting a Jiu-Jitsu seminar. Robin Geisler, who received his black belt from Relson Gracie in 2006, will be conducting the two hour seminar. Robin will also be available throughout the day for private lessons. Privates may be done one-on-one or with a small group. Robin has competed extensively in Jiu-Jitsu tournaments around the world, has won the Gracie Nationals and Arnold Classic on several occassions and most recently was runner-up in the black belt division at the 2008 Pan-American Games in California. Superior Cage Fighting: Round 1
 Superior Cage Fighting proudy presents Round 1 of the "Quaker Fight Series" on Friday, May 9, 2008. Located at 4900 Transportation Drive, Sheffield Oh, 44054, this show will have a large number of GriffonRawl warriors set for action. Tony Groys (3-1) and John Strmac (4-2) are set for action as the featured bouts going for the 155lb and 145lb titles, respectively. They are up against Knockout Factory warriors, Carl Kettle (4-2)and Dave Lyons (4-2). NAAFS "Kickboxing 3"
 The NAAFS returns to the Euclid Sports Plant on April 26, 2008, only this time it's NAAFS Kickboxing! Team GriffonRawl will be sending a good amount of warriors into action on Saturday night.More may be added, but currently Aaron "Juice" Veverka, Adam "The Cleveland City Psycho" Sadny, Paul "Str8outta" Compton, Anton Jackson, and Mark Fredebaugh are set to compete. GriffonRawl Team Training Day
 On Saturday, April 5, 2008, Team GriffonRawl will host it's second "Team Training Day." On Januray 27 members from Team Playland, Team DNA, Wreckroom Athletics and Team GriffonRawl got together for an excellent day of training. Saturday's training promises to be even better with the above teams invited plus Jungle Fight Team and Pain Headquarters!This event is for those who compete regularly in MMA or Thai and is by invite only. If you're a GriffonRawl member regularly competing and would like to attend, please see Jason Dent. WRFS "Mansfield Mayhem 5"
 Wreckroom Fight Series will hold their fifth event on Saturday, March 22, 2008 at the Richland County Fairgrounds inside Fairhaven Hall. Mansfield Mayhem Five will feature a great night of MMA action including four GriffonRawl warriors. AJ Carl (155) and Brian McCroskey (170) are set to return to action, while Kevin Doyle (155) and Paul Keeney (135) will be making their debut's Saturday night. Team GriffonRawl was here recently and performed very well, including the crowning of two champions and we look forward to another stellar evening.  On Saturday, March 15, 2008, NAAFS action returns to Chapparell's Community Center in Akron, Ohio for "Midwest Combat Challenge 4".Team GriffonRawl is set to continue it's invasion of the NAAFS in 2008 with the following warriors set for action. IFBL "Fight Night 11"
 On Saturday February 23, 2008 the IFBL will hold "Fight Night 11" at their new 5x5 Facility in Niles, Ohio. At "Fight Night 10", team captain Jason Dent won the 155lb title and "Fight Night 11" will feature another GriffonRawl staple as the main event. Donny "Eagle Eye" Walker will face WEC veteran Cub Swanson in what will be a benchmark fight in the career of Walker. Donny is coming off a NAAFS win via triangle over wrestling legend Sonny Marchette. Cub had two WEC wins before falling to UFC veteran Jens Pulver. Tim Payne Promotions: Caged Combat III
 On Saturday February 23, 2008 the third edition of Tim Payne Promotions "Caged Combat" will be held at the Team Energenics Conditioning Facility in Highland Heights, Ohio.Team GriffonRawl has been a "go-to" camp for Tim as he started his promotion with shows in August and November 2007. February's show will be no different. Team GriffonRawl will be sending as many as eight to ten fighters into the cage on the 23rd. Sonny Marchette Wrestling seminar at GR
 I'm happy to announce that Sonny will be coming to GR to do a three hour Wrestling seminar for MMA. The seminar will cover takedowns, takedown defense, and some drills needed to get and keep your Wrestling skills sharp. Both Sonny and his brother are very experienced Wrestlers and will both be here to conduct the seminar. The seminar is open to our students and highly recommended for our fighters. The seminar is $30 for GR members and $40 for non members. Sign up with Jason Dent ASAP as space is limited. NAAFS "Northcoast Showdown 2"
The NAAFS kicks off 2008 with an exciting night of action at the Euclid Sports Plant in Euclid, OH. Team Griffon-Rawl will send five warriors into action on Saturday night. AJ Pulling is making his pro debut at 170lbs. Nick Killian and Jim Payne look to remain unbeaten at 185lbs, while John Strmac and Tony Woolf get back into action at 145 & 155lbs.  Both Dave Osborne and Miles King are the two GriffonRawl warriors set to compete on January 11, 2008 in Elyria, OH. IFBL "Fight Nite 10"
 MMA action returns to the Eastwood Expo Center in Niles, OH on Saturday December 15, 2007. Doors open at 6:00pm and the action begins at 8:00pm sharp. There will be 19 fights in total. Team Griffon-Rawl has been here before with great success.Team owner and captain, Jason "Dynamite" Dent will be the co-main event as he faces Harris "The Hitman" Sarmiento for the IFBL World Lightweight title. Chris "The Westside Strangler" Brennan MMA Seminar
 Chris is a UFC, Pride, ADCC, & former King of the Cage Champion. He is a also a Black Belt in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. We will be bringing him in for a seminar on Sunday December 9th and the time for the seminar is tentativley set for 12:00pm and going to 3:00pm. The Seminar cost is $50 for GR members and $70 for non-members. Jason Dent is taking a list of names of those who wish to pre-pay their seminar fee to reserve their spot. NAAFS "Night of Champions"
 This will be the year end finals of the NAAFS. The regions top amateurs will compete for a belt in each weight class. GriffonRawl is proud to have Nick Goldizen 4-1 taking on #1 ranked Frank Carabello for the Welterweight Title. Our team will be there not only to support Nick in force but since GriffonRawl has the offical NAAFS cage we will be setting that up as well. Caged Combat 2
 Tim Payne's Promotion returns once again and much like the first event Team GriffonRawl fighters will be heavily loaded on the fight card. It will be a very busy night for us as we have six of our guys competing. Xtreme Combat Cage "The Revenge"
 Attention everyone. Donny Walker and Jason Dent will be traveling South of the border on September 29th to represent GriffonRawl. As if thats not interesting enough both will be facing Mexicans fighters on there home turf.Donny will be fighting at 150lbs against Yaotzin Meza and Jason will be fighting at 160lbs against Israel Giron Melchor!
